Vittoria! War is over.
One hundred years ago the Italian army won Austria-Hungary in the battle of Vittorio Veneto. This battle marked the ultimate Italian victory in WW1 and allowed us to liberate Trento, Trieste, Istria and Alto Adige.
Viva Vittorio, viva l’Italia.
100 years since Caporetto
Today it is the hundredth anniversary of the Battle of Caporetto, it was the worst Italian defeat in WWI but in the horror of the death of thousand of people it is important to remember the sacrifice of those soldiers who died for the fatherland. Of course there will be time to remember the day when the Austro-german army advance was arrested at River Piave and the day of the victory, indeed much more joyous days, but today it is very important for the nation as well because it serves to remember our dead.
